If you have identified that you would like to increase patient access to health coverage, you may consider applying for a BHbusiness Plus learning network in Eligibility and Enrollment, where you and your team will:
  • Complete a flow chart of the intake process, review the insurance exchange information for your state, and identify how the exchange is being implemented in your region.
  • Determine at what point in your process it is appropriate to assess for benefits and enrollment. Identify which process steps need to be improved.
  • Conduct at least three change cycles to improve the intake process.
  • Document your new processes in a policy and procedure manual.
Once you’ve completed this learning network you will have a better understanding of your patient flow and when to assess for coverage.
